Now, some 30 years later we have a redux of an effete, ineffective President whose nuanced intellectual elite responses offer no support to those desiring Liberty. Indeed, President Obama's apologetic Cairo speech just emboldened the Mad Mullahs and Annoying Ayatollah's, as well as Johnny Jihadi. The theocrats and despotic autocrats who dominate the Islamic world realize they are free to butcher and suppress their own people, young people, who desire one thing.....Freedom.

Imagine if Obama existed in the days of the Soviet Union, Lech Walesa, and Vaclav Havel, would that wall have indeed come down? I know that the "messiah" believes that his mere presence and a teleprompted speech will convice killers to lay down their arms and worship at his feet.

Today, Americans celebrate Juneteeenth - when in 1865 slavery finally ended throughout the entire United States. Sadly, few people know that Juneteenth was a high water mark for African- Americans. Soon after that great day, the Democratic Party defeated the post-Civil War policies of the Republican Party, delaying the civil rights movement until the 1950s.

An important fact which most history books ignore is that Abraham Lincoln's 1864 running mate was a Democrat, Andrew Johnson of Tennessee. And so after Lincoln's assassination, it was a Democrat who would be President of the United States for the first four years of the Reconstruction era. That first President Johnson did all in his power to prevent African-Americans from experiencing Lincoln's "new birth of freedom."

It was in Texas where slavery finally ended. On June 19, 1865, U.S. troops commanded by General Gordon Granger landed at Galveston and brought some important news that the Democrats running the state had refused to tell their slaves, that they had been legally freed more than two years before by the Emancipation Proclamation (which had been opposed by most northern Democrats).

Granger's famous General Order Number 3 read: "The people of Texas are informed that in accordance with a Proclamation from the Executive of the United States, all slaves are free. This involves an absolute equality of rights and rights of property between former masters and slaves, and the connection heretofore existing between them becomes that between employer and free laborer."

General Granger then traveled around Texas to inform the African-Americans, still being held as slaves by their Democrat masters, that they were in fact free. Granger was a zealous advocate for full civil rights for African-Americans. Too zealous, it turned out, for President Andrew Johnson. On August 6, 1865, just seven weeks after his arrival, Granger was relieved from command in Texas by President Johnson. That same month, Johnson removed nearly all African- Americans from the U.S. army.

Any army officer who exerted himself too much in defense of African-Americans was out of a job. For this reason, President Johnson dismissed the conscientious Phil Sheridan, who had sent General Granger to Galveston, from command in Texas and Louisiana. Sheridan's replacement was General Winfield Hancock, who then allowed white supremacist thugs a free hand. Hancock became the Democratic Party's presidential candidate in 1880.

Representatives from more than a dozen Somali civil, religious and political organizations gathered Saturday to rebut allegations that a Muslim civil rights group is blocking an FBI inquiry into the disappearances of dozens of Twin Cities Somali men.

Last week, relatives of a Minneapolis teenager who said he was recently killed in Somalia and a Somali community leader claimed that the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Minnesota chapter was discouraging area Somalis from cooperating with the FBI. But supporters Saturday said CAIR has only advised Somalis about their civil rights and urged to tell the truth and work with law enforcement.

"I was at CAIR's three workshops for people who were issued subpoenas by the FBI and others seeking help and this was consistently the group's message," said Omar Hurre, executive director of Abubakar as-Saddique Islamic Center, Minneapolis' largest Somali mosque.

He was one of about 50 people who gathered to support CAIR at a park next to the Brian Coyle Community Center in Minneapolis, many holding signs saying how CAIR improved their lives. The represented groups ranged from the Somali Youth Network Council to the Muslim Student Association at Augsburg College.

"CAIR is always available to help Muslims and Somalis with legal, immigration and job issues, and they don't show up only when the media is around like some others who call themselves activists," said Zuhur Ahmed, host of Somali Community Link on KFAI-FM. "The people you see here represent the Somali community."

CAIR officials said Saturday that they would be willing to meet with families of missing men to clear up any misunderstandings.

ADAMS, NY – Upstate NY Harley-Davidson dealer Iron Block Harley in Adams was forced to take down a sign facing route 81 behind their store.

The sign has been displaying messages to drivers traveling on Interstate 81 since 2002. Earlier this week, it read “Obama, are you kidding? We’re not Muslim. You are not Christian!!” a reference to President Obama’s recent speech in the Middle East in which he stressed the details of Muslims living in America as a way of finding common cause with Muslim majority nations.

Owner Erik Dunk believes that Obama would not have won the Presidency if the public was aware of the extent of his Muslim sympathies prior to the election. He indicates that this was a deceit of the American people, and that despite his continued pronouncement that he is a Christian, deceiving the American people to get the office is not a Christian thing to do.

Iron Block’s sign has carried messages of a political nature for years. The sign once said “Impeach the Dictator!” but Dunk indicates that no one at Harley-Davidson forced him to remove that message though it was far more politically controversial.

Harley-Davidson’s lawyers ordered Dunk to remove the message from his sign or risk losing his Harley-Davidson franchise. They had received one complaint regarding the sign from a Syracuse-area Muslim who told Harley-Davidson that the sign was offensive and derogatory to Muslims.

Dunk contends that the message was in no way derogatory to any religious group and was simply an indictment of President Obama’s behavior on behalf of America while he was in the Middle East.

He also claims that liberal media outlets in the area reported the issue with strong bias and several factual errors, pointing out that staff at the Watertown Daily Times are well aware that his sign has been running politically-oriented messages for years though in their coverage of the story, they only talked about the anti-Obama messages.

French feminists attacked US President Barack Obama's defence of the Islamic veil yesterday, accusing him of dealing a blow to the rights of millions of women in order to appease religious sentiment.
Obama was due to arrive in Paris later in the day, after a Middle East tour in which he gave a speech in which he accused countries like France of hiding "hostility towards any religion behind the pretence of liberalism."
France bans girls and young women from wearing Muslim headscarves in state schools, and women's rights campaigners here see its widespread and sometimes compulsory use in the Islamic world as an abuse of women's rights.
One French women's rights group, Ni Putes Ni Soumises ("Neither whores, nor submissives"), said: "Reducing the dialogue between civilisations to a dialogue between religions is once again to instrumentalise women.

French feminists attacked US President Barack Obama's defence of the Islamic veil yesterday, accusing him of dealing a blow to the rights of millions of women in order to appease religious sentiment.

Executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be receiving $210 million in bonuses over an eighteen-month period, that's $45 million more than the AIG bonuses. In fact, Fannie and Freddie executives have already been awarded $51 million -- not a bad take. Who authorized that and why haven't you expressed your outrage at this group who are largely responsible for the economic mess we have right now.

Sherif Joe is America's last stand against the neotribalists who want to turn every community in America into a democrat party hellhole like Detroit

PHOENIX - Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his attorneys said in a press conference Monday that the U.S. Department of Justice and Homeland Security have an ulterior motive in their investigation into the sheriff's office.

Arpaio and his attorneys outlined their reasons for demanding an investigation into the two agencies for unethical conduct and improper political influence during the course of their investigation of Arpaio's illegal immigration enforcement policies.

"After serving with the DOJ for nearly 30 years as a ranking official with the DEA, it is almost painful to have to ask for this investigation," Arpaio says. "But I must take a stand. Every law enforcement agency the DOJ has investigated in the past has bowed down or rolled over to the federal government. This agency and this sheriff will not. Washington should not tell an elected sheriff how to conduct his law enforcement responsibilities."

Arpaio also said in a press release that the Obama administration is forcing the sheriff to bend on illegal immigration enforcement.

On March 10, the DOJ announced it was launching an investigation into Arpaio and his illegal immigration policies to see if he was racial profiling the Hispanic community.

Arpaio says since the investigation began, the DOJ investigators have lied to senior sheriff's office officials and engaged in an orchestrated scheme designed to acquire documents and witness testimony surreptitiously in order to discredit Arpaio and his office.

In a letter to U.S Attorney General Eric Holder and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, Arpaio voiced his concerns about the DOJ's investigation into his office.

One concern was that the DOJ and DHS officials obtained interviews and documents from senior sheriff's officials who should have been entitled to legal counsel but were denied.

Another concern Arpaio has is that in the "100 Day Report" to the Obama Administration, DOJ investigators bragged about the accomplishment of the investigation into Arpaio before they even had any evidence or facts.

Arpaio also says the DOJ admitted it based its investigation into Arpaio solely on "media reports". He says even Congressman John Conyers, Chairman of the Judicial Committee, said he had no facts or evidence other than what he read in the paper before he asked the DOJ to launch its probe. Arpaio's attorneys say they are certain this investigation is not about justice but rather about a new Washington D.C. administration that wants Arpaio to do things the president's way, for the president's purpose.

Furor Grows Over Partisan Car Dealer Closings Mark Tapscott of WashingtonExaminer.com

Evidence appears to be mounting that the Obama administration has systematically targeted for closing Chrysler dealers who contributed to Repubicans. What started earlier this week as mainly a rumbling on the Right side of the Blogosphere has gathered some steam today with revelations that among the dealers being shut down are a GOP congressman and closing of competitors to a dealership chain partly owned by former Clinton White House chief of staff Mack McLarty.

The basic issue raised here is this: How do we account for the fact millions of dollars were contributed to GOP candidates by Chrysler who are being closed by the government, but only one has been found so far that is being closed that contributed to the Obama campaign in 2008?

Florida Rep. Vern Buchanan learned from a House colleague that his Venice, Florida, dealership is on the hit list. Buchanan also has a Nissan franchise paired with the Chrysler facility in Venice.

"It's an outrage. It's not about me. I'm going to be fine," said Buchanan, the dealership's majority owner. "You're talking over 100,000 jobs. We're supposed to be in the business of creating jobs, not killing jobs," Buchanan told News 10, a local Florida television station.

Buchanan, who succeeded former Rep. Katharine Harris in 2006, reportedly learned of his dealership's termination from Rep.Candace Miller, R-MI. Buchanan owns a total of 23 dealerships in Florida and North Carolina.

Also fueling the controversy is the fact the RLJ-McCarty-Landers chain of Arkansas and Missouri dealerships aren't being closed, but many of their local competitors are being eliminated. Go here for a detailed look at this situation. McClarty is the former Clinton senior aide. The "J" is Robert Johnson, founder of the Black Entertainment Television, a heavy Democratic contributor.

A lawyer representing a group of Chrysler dealers who are on the hit list deposed senior Chrysler executives and later told Reuters that he believes the closings have been forced on the company by the White House.

"It became clear to us that Chrysler does not see the wisdom of terminating 25 percent of its dealers. It really wasn't Chrysler's decision. They are under enormous pressure from the President's automotive task force," said attorney Leonard Bellavia.

"But," protested a few million older, but not senile, citizens who helped build the nation. "We can barely pay our medical costs now!"
And He said, "I shall mandate employer-funded health care for EVERY worker and raise the minimum wage, and lower the white collar wage. And I shall also give every person unlimited healthcare and medicine and even transportation to the free clinics."
And the sheeple said, "Give me some of that!"
And, one small voice said, "How can you pay for all of that?"
And, 'The One' said, "I shall tax the corporations and the fat cats. Furthermore," He announced, "I shall penalize employers who ship jobs overseas."

'The One' continued prompting, "I shall bankrupt the evil coal industry, and perhaps even the oil industry with a Cap & Trade/Carbon Tax. And even though electricity rates will skyrocket, we soon build wind farms and solar power stations and you will drive little green cars that I shall order the factories in Detroit to build!"
And the sheeple said, "Coal is dirty, coal is evil, no more coal! What was that part about higher electric rates?"

'The One' assured the sheeple, saying, "Do not worry. If your federal rebate ($10/week) isn't enough to cover your extra expenses ($3,000/year), we shall bail you out. Just sign up with ACORN and your troubles are over! Only the fat cats will have to pay."
Then, He said, "20 million Illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted. I will grant them - and their parents, and their children and relatives - amnesty, and Social Security, free education, free lunches, free medical care, bi-lingual signs and guaranteed housing. That way, they will feel obligated to vote for me, and we can totally change this evil country."
And the sheeple said, "Hallelujah!!" And they made him King!

And so it came to pass that employers, faced with upward spiraling costs and ever-higher taxes, were forced to raise their prices. And, verily, they sold much less of their products and had to lay off workers. Others simply gave up and went out of business, as the economy sank like unto a rock dropped into a river. The banking industry was destroyed. Manufacturing slowed to a crawl. And more of the sheeple were without a means of support... except for minorities and illegal aliens who had government entitlements.

And, as prophesized by the Oracle called 'History', His socialist and fascist policies failed. Still, 'The One' continued to blame the prior administration, extended unemployment benefits to a full year, bailed out his favorite banks, and then took over the banks and auto industries created by the initiative of private enterprise.

Using the muffled media as a weekly platform he proclaimed, "I am 'The One' - The Messiah - I'm here to save you! We shall just print more money so the government will have enough! Surely nine trillion dollars will make everyone happy."
And immediately the Fed complied and the money presses roared. And China reconsidered their trillion dollars of loans to the US, and threatened to call in their debts!
Other foreign trading partners said unto 'The One', "Wait a minute. Your dollar is not worth a pile of camel dung! As your dollar becomes worth less, you will have to pay more for everything."
And the sheeple said, "Wait a minute... That is unfair!!"
And the world said, "Neither are these other idiotic programs you have embraced! Lo, you have become a Socio-fascist state and a second-rate power. What factories are not owned by your government are now owned by us. Now you shall play by our rules!"
And 'The One' said "Our enemies are right, Americans are arrogant, divisive, and derisive!We will listen to the third-world countries who owe their very existence to our largess and generous foreign aid. Clearly, we must give them more."
And the sheeple cried out, "Alas, alas!! What evil hath we wroth? This is the devil in sheep's clothing."

But, yea verily, it was too late.
The muffled media soon discovered that they, too, were owned by the state and had lost all of their pressly freedoms. The once mighty nation was no more; and the once proud people were without sustenance or shelter or hope. And the Change that 'The One' had given them was as like unto a poison that had destroyed them from within. Like a whirlwind the Change had consumed all that they and their forefathers had sacrificed to build.

And the people beat their chests in despair and cried out in anguish, "Give us back our nation, our Constitution, our pride and our hope!!" People eventually set upon 'The One' and spat upon him and vilified him, and his name was dung.

But, it was too late, and the once-glorious "Home of the Brave and Land of the Free" was no more

After a yearlong investigation launched by the Bush administration, the feds cracked down on a ring of murder-minded black Muslim jailhouse converts preparing to bomb two Bronx synagogues and "eager to bring death to Jews." They also planned to attack a New York National Guard air base in Newburgh, N.Y., where the suspects lived and worshiped (hate-mongered) at a local mosque.

Why? Because doing so would force Obama to abandon his cottony "extremist ideology" euphemisms and confront the concrete truth. To borrow one of our obtuse president's favorite cliches, "let me be perfectly clear" about the reality Obama won't touch: America faces an ongoing Islamic jihad at home and abroad. Not merely "man-caused." But Koran-inspired. Yet, Obama refuses to spell out the centuries-old roots of the war that he claims he'll win faster, better and cleaner than any of his predecessors.

Moreover, his push to transfer violent Muslim warmongers into our civilian prisons — where they have proselytized and plotted with impunity — will only make the problem worse. A brief refresher course for the left's amnesiacs about the festering jihadi virus in our jails and overseas:

In 2005, Bush administration officials busted a terrorist plot to attack infidels at military and Jewish sites in Los Angeles on the fourth anniversary of 9/11 or the Jewish holy days. It was devised by militant Muslim converts of Jam'iyyat Ul-Islam Is-Saheeh (Arabic for "Assembly of Authentic Islam") who had sworn allegiance to violent jihad at California's New Folsom State Prison.

Convicted terror conspirator Jose Padilla converted to Islam during a stint at a Broward County, Fla., jail and reportedly fell in with terrorist recruiters after his release.

Convicted "shoe bomber" Richard Reid converted to Islam with the help of an extremist imam in a British prison.

Aqil Collins, a self-confessed jihadist turned FBI informant, converted to Islam while doing time in a California juvenile detention center. At a terrorist camp in Afghanistan, he went on to train with one of the men accused of kidnapping and beheading Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.

In East Texas, inmates were recruited with a half-hour videotape featuring the anti-Semitic rants of California-based Imam Muhammad Abdullah, who claims that the 9/11 terrorist attacks were actually carried out by the Israeli and U.S. governments.

Federal corrections officials told congressional investigators during the Bush years "that convicted terrorists from the 1993 World Trade Center bombing were put into their prisons' general population, where they radicalized inmates and told them that terrorism was part of Islam."

Despite the insistence of Obama and the Jihadi Welcome Wagon that our civilian prisons are perfectly secure, convicted terrorist aid Lynne Stewart helped jailed 1993 World Trade Center bombing/NY landmark bombing plot mastermind Omar Abdel-Rahman smuggle coded messages of Islamic violence to outside followers in violation of an explicit pledge to abide by her client's court-ordered isolation.

As I've reported previously, U.S. Bureau of Prison reports have warned for years that our civilian detention facilities are major breeding grounds for Islamic terrorists. There are still not enough legitimately trained and screened Muslim religious leaders to counsel an estimated 9,000 U.S. prison inmates who demand Islamic services. Under the Bush administration, the federal prison bureaucracy had no policy in place to screen out extremist, violence-advocating Islamic chaplains; failed to properly screen the many contractors and volunteers who help provide religious services to Islamic inmates; and shied away from religious profiling.

Once again, it doesn't seem to occur to this writer that "Islamophobia," if any irrational hatred of Muslims actually exists at all, is caused by Islamic jihadists doing evil and justifying it in the name of Islam -- not by "negative coverage."

If Muslims around the world don’t want Islam to be perceived as encouraging violence, they should take these five steps:

1. Stop committing violent acts.

2. Stop justifying those violent acts by reference to the Qur’an and Sunnah.

3. Stop saying violent or hateful things in private when they think no non-Muslims are around. For example, the imam Umar Abdul-Jalil, executive director of ministerial services for the New York City Department of Correction, was secretly recorded a few years ago while speaking at an Islamic conference in Arizona. Writing at Newsmax, Dick Morris refers to President Obama's posture on Iran as Stockholm Syndrome
In classic Stockholm Syndrome fashion, the Obama administration is empathizing more with the Iranian leaders who are holding Israel hostage than with the nation that may be wiped off the map if Iran acquires the bomb.
I disagree with Morris' use of the term Stockholm Syndrome:
Stockholm syndrome is a psychological response sometimes seen in abducted hostages, in which the hostage shows signs of loyalty to the hostage-taker, regardless of the danger or risk in which they have been placed. The syndrome is named after the Norrmalmstorg robbery of Kreditbanken at Norrmalmstorg in Stockholm, in which the bank robbers held bank employees hostage from August 23 to August 28 in 1973. In this case, the victims became emotionally attached to their victimizers, and even defended their captors after they were freed from their six-day ordeal. The term "Stockholm Syndrome" was coined by the criminologist and psychiatrist Nils Bejerot, who assisted the police during the robbery, and referred to the syndrome in a news broadcast.
Sorry but Obama is not the one in danger and not the one being held hostage. But the rest of Morris' analysis is spot-on (and should sound familiar to my regular readers):
Obama's end-of-the-year deadline for Iranian talks aimed at stopping its progress toward nuclear weapons is just window dressing without the threat of military action. As Metternich wrote, "diplomacy without force is like music without instruments." By warning only of possible strengthening of economic sanctions if the talks do not progress, Obama is making an empty threat. The sanctions will likely have no effect because Russia and China will not let the United Nations act as it must if it is to deter Iranian nuclear weapons.

All this means is that Israel's life is in danger. If Iran gets the bomb, it will use it to kill six million Jews. No threat of retaliation will make the slightest difference. One cannot deter a suicide bomber with the threat of death. Nor can one deter a theocracy bent on meriting admission to heaven and its virgins by one glorious act of violence. Iran would probably not launch the bomb itself, anyway, but would give it to its puppet terrorists to send to Israel so it could deny responsibility. Obama, bent on appeasement, would likely not retaliate with nuclear weapons. And Israel will be dead and gone.

Those sunshine Jewish patriots who voted for Obama must realize that we, as Jews, are witnessing the possible end of Israel. We are in the same moral position as our ancestors were as they watched Hitler’s rise but did nothing to pressure their favorite liberal Democratic president, FDR, to take any real action to save them or even to let Jewish refugees into the country. If we remain complacent, we will have the same anguish at watching the destruction of Israel that our forebears had in witnessing the Holocaust.

Because one thing is increasingly clear: Barack Obama is not about to lift a finger to stop Iran from developing the bomb. And neither is Hillary Clinton.
So if it's not Stockholm Syndrome, what is it? I believe that Obama's behavior is typical of the radical Left, which is at best indifferent and at worst hostile to Israel's continued existence. It's not going to change. He's not going to step in to bail us out at the last minute. And our government had better be able to look him in the eye and tell him (seconds at most before the planes are about to hit) that we will not live with a nuclear Iran and that he had better get used to it.

An Arab serial killer is caught in Israel

Police revealed on Tuesday that the Israeli-American teen Dana Bennett was murdered by a serial killer.

Adwan Yahiya Farhan, 34, of the northern Arab village Wadi Hamam, has confessed to Bennett's killing, as well as three others.

The first murder attributed to Farhan took place in 1995. He allegedly murdered an acquaintance near the Jordan estuary, possibly following a homosexual relationship with him.

Farhan also confessed to having murdered his cellmate while being under arrest at Valleys Police, also in 1995. Up until now, police believed the victim committed suicide in his cell.

Farhan was imprisoned for the first time in 1999 and served four years after being convicted of sexual offenses.

His sentence commuted, he was released in 2002. In July 2003, he brutally murdered a 20-year-old Czech tourist in the northern Tzalmon River. Less than a month later, he kidnapped and murdered Dana Bennet.

In January 2004 he was sentenced for 20 months on charges of illegal possession of arms.

In September 2005, a month after his release, he was jailed again for three and a half years after being convicted of armed robbery and fraud.

In December 2008, while in prison, he was charged of rape.
YNet adds that he apparently tried to kill his sister and that he had no motive for the killings.

A terror group, the "Freedom for Galilee Brigades," had claimed responsibility for Bennet's kidnapping (calling the waitress a "soldier") and pretended that they were holding her. They have a history of claiming terror attacks that never occurred.

This Memorial Day, as Americans salute their fallen military heroes, Republicans can be proud that the holiday was established by one of their own, Senator John Logan (R-IL). Logan Circle in Washington, DC and Logan Square in Chicago were named after him.

John Logan was inspired by the practice in Petersburg VA, Waterloo NY and other places of decorating Civil War graves. As head of the Grand Army of the Republic, an early veterans organization, he proclaimed that on May 30, 1868 Americans should honor the soldiers and sailors who died in the war by decorating their graves with flowers.

Five thousand people came to Arlington National Cemetery for the first Memorial Day ceremony. The principal speaker that day was U.S. Representative James Garfield (R-OH), who twelve years later would be elected President of the United States. Memorial Day soon became an annual event, and President Richard Nixon signed it into law as a national holiday in 1971.

John Logan was born in southern Illinois on February 9, 1826. A lawyer by training, he served three years in the U.S. House of Representatives before joining the army with the onset of the Civil War, rising to the rank of major general.

Though a Democrat before the war, Logan opposed slavery and so re-entered politics as a Republican. In 1866, he was elected to the first of three more terms in the U.S. House of Representatives. John Logan was one of the managers in the impeachment trial of Democrat President Andrew Johnson. That year, he served as a delegate to the Republican National Convention.
